Dr. Ryan S. Hoffman

Dr. Hoffman is a board-certified Plastic Surgeon, who first came to the Main Line Area to attend Haverford College. He completed his medical school at Thomas Jefferson University and has been serving the Main Line Hospitals since. After finishing his surgical residency at Lankenau Medical Center, he trained at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he completed his plastic surgery fellowship. He was exposed to a wide range of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Ryan S. Hoffman offers a comprehensive range of reconstructive and cosmetic surgery procedures. He performs state-of-the-art surgical and non-surgical procedures, personalizing every treatment to the individual patient. He is especially adept at cosmetic procedures in the office under local anesthesia.

Dr. Ryan S. Hoffman has established the Main Line Institute at Lankenau Medical Center. He is the only full time plastic surgeon with offices there. He has been recognized by his peers as the #1 overall Plastic Surgeon at Main Line Today’s “Top Docs” for the past 5 years and a “Top Doc’’ since 2011. He has the privilege to be a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. He also volunteers his time to the podiatry program at PCOM. He is a member of many of the top societies in plastic surgery including: American Society of Plastic Surgery, American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeon, and the exclusive American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

He specializes in cosmetic improvement of both the face and body: Facelift, Cosmetic eyelid surgery, Tummy tucks, and Breast augmentation. He has also had extensive training in post-bariatric surgery and body contouring. Although a majority of cosmetic surgery is performed on women, a growing number of men are choosing cosmetic surgery. As the son of a doctor, Dr. Ryan S. Hoffman understood the demands of a career in medicine from a very early age. He developed a deep respect for the life-altering results achieved by the surgical specialties. This admiration and understanding led him to pursue a career in surgery. It is this love for his profession that fosters a positive, supportive, and pleasant environment with deep concern for his patients.

Dr. Ryan S. Hoffman and his family live in the Main Line Philadelphia area. In his free time, Dr. Hoffman enjoys watching Philadelphia sports teams, cross-training, as well as playing on the beach with his children.

Dr. Michael Karon, DO

Dr. Michael Karon is a board-certified general surgeon and board-eligible plastic surgeon. He earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing his general surgery residency at Lankenau Medical Center, where he received the Gilson Colby Engel Award for Intern of the Year and had the honor to serve as Administrative Chief Resident. He then pursued fellowship training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Reading Hospital–Tower Health, where he gained extensive experience across multiple health systems, including Lehigh Valley Health Network and Penn Lancaster General. During his fellowship, Dr. Karon also trained closely with leading private practice plastic surgeons in the region, further refining his skills in aesthetic surgery of the face and body.

He holds hospital privileges at all four Main Line Health hospitals, allowing him to provide seamless care for patients throughout the region. His clinical interests include facial aesthetics, body contouring, comprehensive cosmetic surgery, and general reconstruction.

Dr. Karon is also part of the faculty for the General Surgery Residency at Lankenau Medical Center, where he contributes to the education and training of future surgeons as a way to give back to the program that helped train him.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Karon is dedicated to his family. He and his wife are proud parents of two children and a golden retriever. In his free time, he enjoys golfing (mostly trying to hit it straight), exploring new restaurants as a passionate foodie, and spending quality time with his family.

Dr. Karon combines his surgical expertise with a warm, approachable style, ensuring that every patient feels comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their journey. His approach to patient care is holistic, focusing on understanding each patient’s individual goals and integrating them seamlessly into their life, so outcomes not only enhance appearance but also support overall well-being.
